Bio:

A Psychology Honours graduate from the University of Sydney (Australia), I moved to Paris to start afresh in a new country, after a few years spent in a social work environment, assisting women and children escaping domestic violence. Needing to obtain credentials here in France, I decided - parallel to my English teaching job - to go back to uni and study for my Master's degree in Psychology, which I obtained from Paris 5 University.

I was employed as a psychologist by a large French company that same year, applying my psychology skills to the workplace environment at many different levels (corporate, employment issues, recruitment, training, counselling, vocational guidance, assertiveness training).

At the same time, I continued vocational training in psychology and have completed specialist training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Ethology and Human-Animal Studies. During this study period, I worked as Assistant Psychologist in a private practice setting.

I then decided to start my own private practice in the 9th District of Paris and via Skype for my clients who do not wish to come to Paris for consultations.

As a budding artist in my free-time, I incorporate creative elements in my psychology practice, as well as exploring the role of animals in therapeutic settings, an ongoing research theme I undertake in my own time. If you're interested in these subjects, I'm happy to discuss them with you!

I do one-to-one counselling as well as counselling for couples and small groups. I use CBT methods and tools integrated within the therapy. I also use aspects of existential therapy, solution-based methods, and interpersonal tools. As well as targeting specific disorders, I also offer supportive psychotherapy as part of my ongoing service to clients. I adapt to my client and keep you informed every step of the way. I strongly believe that therapy is a partnership toward alleviating distress and consistent strive toward positive change and personal development.

The small groups I organise offer life skills development so they are usually geared toward practical objectives such as improving your communication skills, managing stress, smoking cessation groups, for example. You'll find a full list of the groups currently running as well as information on how to find me and my fees on this website, and a whole host of information to do with psychology.

Thank you for visiting my website!

Because I have been trained in Australia and France, my therapeutic practice has received numerous sources of input and therefore I have no single-school model. I essentially practise Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and supportive psychotherapy. If you would like to find out more, follow the links to the pages.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

It is change that brings us everything we want. It is the opposite of change that holds us back from that which we want. But change is not always external. Real change, or rather the cause of all change, is always internal. It is the change in the within that first produces the change in the without. To go from place to place is not a change unless it produces a change of mind—a renewal of mind.

One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.
